Tumwater Education Foundation

The principals' emergency fund (pef) provides principals with funds to respond to emergent student needs, quickly and with a minimum of paperwork so that students come to school ready to learn. Funds are used to pay for medical/dental needs, housing, transportation, shoes and clothing, etc. Approval of expenditures rests with the principal at each school. The tumwater education foundation funds this program through a combination of community support and grants. Once a year the annual pef fundraising breakfast raises proceeds which support the program. Funds provided to each school through the pef program are allocated based on the total student population in each school.
