Spiritual Support Program: Spreading Light in Dark Places. In 2024, our Spiritual Support Program strengthened pastoral leadership, increased accessibility to the Bible, and offered holistic care to communities in spiritually dark regions. These initiatives are vital to our mission of sharing the hope of Jesus. Oral Bible Translation (OBT) Initiative: In January, we launched the OBT project to translate the Bible from Swahili into Kabwa. A team of 7 local staff (6 translators from Bukabwa and a project manager in Musoma), supported by a consultant from Spoken Worldwide Ministry, completed translations of Jonah, Ruth, and Zephaniah, with work underway on Genesis. The translation process includes cultural adaptation and community engagement to ensure accuracy and resonance. Medical Mission: In June, we conducted a medical mission on Kome Island, providing healthcare to over 467 children and parents and sharing the gospel. This outreach led to 384 individuals following Christ, highlighting our commitment to integrating physical and spiritual care. Pastoral Leadership Training: We continued to equip 32 pastors across Kome Island and Bukabwa with skills to lead their congregations in spiritual and practical development, fostering sustainable transformation within their communities. Strategic Alignment: Through the Spiritual Support Program, we strengthened local faith communities, enhanced accessibility to Scripture, and met practical needs, laying a foundation for lasting spiritual growth and resilience.

Community Transformation Program: Empowering Families for Self-Sufficiency. The Community Transformation Program expanded its reach in 2024, offering practical training to families and church leaders in Kome Island and Bukabwa. This year, we supported 326 households and 2,774 individuals, equipping 32 church leaders with sustainable skills to promote community self-sufficiency and resilience. Empowering Local Leaders: Pastor Yohanas journey demonstrates the impact of our training. Once limited by the communitys needs, he now leads a church that addresses both spiritual and practical challenges, helping families to thrive. His church exemplifies how faith and community development can work together. Sustainable Livelihoods: Through our training, individuals like Mama Moses and Lucas Matiku have learned sustainable agriculture techniques and financial management skills. Mama Moses, a widow and small-scale farmer, increased her crop yield, allowing her to feed her family and sell surplus produce for income. Lucas enhanced his farming practices, moving toward self-sufficiency and creating a path for future investments. Strategic Alignment: This years accomplishments in community transformation demonstrate our commitment to fostering independence and self-sufficiency, laying a foundation for generational growth and resilience in local families and leaders.
