Programs
3 programs
Transportation and mobility: tca leveraged a $96,800 grant from va department of rail and public transportation for the explore tysons "walk, bike, and roll" transportation demand management campaign. We hosted a summer walk challenge where 48 people walked a total of over 200 miles. We held the second annual tysons transportation open house with over 100 attendees. Tca was named one of fairfax county's "best workplaces for commuters".
Research, planning & development: tca released quarterly market reports distilling data and key market performance indicators, trends, and special feature content. Our datahub and the quarterly reports reached more than 4,000 people from county agencies, regional and national brokerages, developers, major employers, and residents. The fy 2025 tysons net fiscal report demonstrated that tysons continues to be fairfax's economic engine: the area generates $1.82 for every dollar invested by the county.
Placemaking: tca completed the wayfinding signage pilot program in collaboration with fairfax county park authority and a local property owner. Nine signs were installed, making tysons more welcoming and helping create a cohesive identity for the area. Tca executed a landscaping improvement at route 123 and route 7 - removing invasive plants and planting 77 trees and 164 shrubs and seeing a pollinator meadow. And, we published the placemaking framework brochure establishing the vision of placemaking in tysons.
