Uaf has three distinct programs under clinical assistance: the snip ngo clinic, the spay/neuter certificate program, and the emergency medical program. The snip ngo clinic offers low-cost spay/neuter and vaccine services to the public, with prices further reduced for low-income pet owners who qualify for the spay/neuter certificate program. Through the spay/neuter certificate program, uaf also spays and neuters feral cats for free. The emergency medical program helps low-income pet owners with the cost of veterinary care when their companion animal is critically ill or injured.
Community pet food bank program uafs community pet food bank distributes more than 50,000 pounds of food each year for feral cats and pets in low-income households, as long as all animals are spayed or neutered.
