Mission

United services mission is to provide an effective response to the youth, family, and adult social and behavioral health needs in the community. United services is the most comprehensive private, non-profit center in connecticut providing psychosocial, mental health, chemical abuse, education and prevention services to the community, and employee assistance program services for business and industry. Our primary service area is the 21 towns in northeast connecticut. Client services are available in 8 locations, including three main offices located in dayville, wauregan and windham.

Programs

Clinical services - provide outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment for adults, children and families; medication assisted treatment for opioid or alcohol dependence; medical evaluation and medication management and mobile crisis response services. Addiction recovery outpatient services (146 adults) adult behavioral health outpatient services (1,438 adults) children and family behavioral health treatment (301 children) community response services (mobile crisis) (396 adults) medication assisted treatment (67 adults)psychiatric services (1,393 adults & children) jail diversion (292 adults) crisis response engagement and stabilization team (399 adults and children) primary care (24 adults and children).

Intensive care services - provides 24/7 residential support, case management, vocational and social rehabilitative services to victims of domestic violence, adults with severe and acute mental illness and young adults with serious mental health issues who are transitioning to independent living. Victims of crime case management (47 adults) milner house (18 adults) young adult services (28 young adults) domestic violence program /total number served (628 adults & children).

Prevention and early intervention services provides community-based prevention services to youth, adolescents and families. Reunification and therapeutic family time (36 families); parenting programs (162 families); employee assistance program (2,476 employees); juvenile review board/referrals (43 referrals); youth service bureau (74 youth & families); list trainings (115 youth & families).
