Usitt changed its member year to align with its fiscal year in fy24. Some immediate losses in membership were recouped during the year but overall membership remains on an upward trajectory post- pandemic. Usitt sustained the previous year's record number of contributing (top organizational category) members in the organization's history. Approximately 86% of paid attendees at usitt24 in seattle were members and 700 new memberships were purchased with usitt24 registration.

Expenses: $761K

The marketing and promotion of the 2024 annual conference & stage expo resulted in the registration of 5,422 persons and 4,868 verified badges, including a record of more than 1,800 first time attendees. Usitt increased its engagement across social media platforms to achieve gains in registration, especially to younger audiences, while its traditional email open rates remain in the highest tier of nonprofit membership organizations.

The stage expo was a dynamic hub showcasing the latest advancements in live entertainment design and technology. With 284 exhibitors, 260 booths, and 26 sponsors, attendees experienced cutting-edge products and services while engaging with industry leaders in a vibrant and collaborative environment.the event's highlights began with the new tech showcase on opening night, where attendees got a first look at groundbreaking products and services from leading exhibitors. This set an exciting tone for the conference, energizing attendees for the days ahead.a record-breaking closing night event offered a unique social setting designed to connect exhibitors with attendees in a more relaxed and engaging environment. This unprecedented gathering fostered valuable relationships and encouraged meaningful discussions outside the traditional expo setting.the expo stage emerged as a central attraction, hosting a variety of exhibitor-led educational sessions that provided insights into innovative products and industry trends. Highlights included a manufacturers' lighting match-up and a follow spot demonstration showcasing the capabilities of various manufacturers' instruments. These interactive sessions underscored the importance of collaboration and education within our industry.through these engaging programs and initiatives, the 2024 annual conference & stage expo not only celebrated the artistry and innovation of live entertainment design but also deepened connections between attendees and exhibitors, advancing professional growth and the future of the industry.
