United way of greater mercer county connects people with critical resources to help them reach their fullest potential, focusing on youth opportunity, financial security, and healthy communities.

Stabilizing and economic mobility: uwgmc works to build financial stability through programs such as free tax preparation assistance also known as vita (volunteer income tax assistance) program; credit and money management workshops; estate planning education sessions; and tax navigation including what to do when you get a letter from the irs through litc (lower income tax clinic).

Building youth potential: uwgmc is committed to expanding youth opportunities by making college and career paths accessible for financially struggling families. We offer free college admissions and fafsa assistance, essay writing workshops, and support for those pursuing trade school. Uwgmc also recruits volunteers to help youth with resume writing and interview preparation. For school-agers and younger students, we provide literacy and stem kits to inspire a love of reading and interest in science and math.
