The mission of the united way of hastings is to build partnerships to improve the lives of people in our community. This is accomplished by workings to advance the common good by focusing on education, health and wellness, and financial stability. These are building blocks for a good life a qualify education that leads to a stable job, enough to support a family through retirement, and good health.

Basic needs closetevery child deserves the essentials to thrive in school and beyond. The united way of hastings is making sure students have access to basic necessitiesbecause no child should have to worry about hygiene products, school supplies, or clean clothes when they should be focused on learning. Through the basic needs closet, students can discreetly access essential items like deodorant, toothbrushes, body wipes, laundry detergent, school supplies, and more. By providing these necessities, we're giving students the confidence and security they need to succeed.
Community grant allocationsin 2025, the united way of hastings provided $35,000 in grants to non-profit organizations in the hastings community. Our goal is to continue to increase donations each year.-hasting high school peer program-spark middle school summer program-tilen preschool-hastings community education/youth enrichment program-re/do fitness-hastings environmental protectors-hastings family service-darts/ hastings loop-friends of the mississippi-shop with hero/hastings police department
