Economic mobility: united way of laramie county provides funding and resources through local collaborative initiatives to ensure the financial stability and success of our residents through the advancement of skills, improving personal financial management, and providing a safety net support system. Through these grants and resources, residents have more tools available to them to obtain a livable wage and meet basic life, safety, and economic needs.

Health: united way of laramie county directs funding and resources through local collaborative initiatives whose strategy is to improve health outcomes by focusing on vulnerable populations through increased health education and emergent/preventative care. Through these grants, we are able to promote healthy living and behaviors by providing access to medical, dental, and mental health care for children, individuals, and families.

United way of laramie county vita program (volunteer income tax assistance) is the only year-round vita program in the state of wyoming. This program provides 'free' tax preparation services to families who earn 67,000 or less a year, persons with disabilities, and limited-english-speaking taxpayers. Through the program, united way has approximately 39 irs- certified volunteers who work with participants at multiple sites across laramie county to ensure proper tax credits are utilized during the filing process, then they file and set up direct-deposit participants' refunds also for free.
