The emergency hotel shelter program (ehp) is designed to provide temporary housing for individuals experiencing homelessness. This program is part of unity shelter's broader mission to support the unhoused community in benton county.

Expenses: $570K

Room at the inn provides emergency shelter for women who need a place to stay in corvallis, oregon. The shelter is located in the community center of the first united methodist church (12th and jackson) and can accommodate 50 women each night. The shelter is open year-round, for women 18 years and older. Guests receive a comfortable bed, showers, and snacks or simple meals every evening and morning. We also have a safe space for tv, talking and relaxing until lights out at 10 p.m. Case management is provided through a partnership with corvallis housing first.

3rd street commons is a non-congregate shelter program serving men, women and couples. Located in a former motel, each room has its own bathroom, shower, mini-refrigerator and microwave. There is also a shared kitchen on site, and additional food storage in available in shared refrigerators/freezers. The facility is staffed 24/7, and case management staff are on site monday-friday to assist guests with housing and other challenges. The facility is owned by corvallis housing first.

Safeplace's mission is to assist individuals, couples, and families in housing transition by providing a safe environment for temporary housing coupled with case management services and resource navigation. Safeplace provides transitional housing in locations around corvallis. Currently, this transitional housing includes microshelters at safe camp at the first congregational ucc in corvallis and 5 other locations including the corvallis evangelical church and life community church. Case management is provided through a partnership with corvallis housing first.
