University Christian Ministries Inc

Educational programs are at the core of our mission at the center for christian study. We belive that all christians should seek to grow in their understanding of scripture, christian doctrine and church history. We also know that it is crucial for believers to consider how our culture influences our thoughts and desires in light of christian truth. Education, properly directed, does not only provide information but formation. It helps us to envision our place in god's redemptive plan for the world, and it forms our character, habits adn desires so that we might live out our calling in every area of life. Our educational programs are open to all, and offer unique learning opportunities of several different sorts: lectures, small groups, seminars and courses.

Graduate outreach: the need for a fellowship setting that emphasizes the desire to think with a christian mind is especially relevent for students pursuing advanced degrees in preparation for professional leadership. The study center provides funding for three graduate fellowship groups at the university of virgnia: one on main grounds, one at the university of virginia darden school of business, and one at the university of virginia schoool of law.

Spring 2025: (3) lecture events: "from godric's hollow to king's cross: theology in harry potter" (sarah borden); "lunch with a professor" (jennifer frey); "veritas forum: what makes my life worth it?" (curt thompson & david costanza); (4) lunch club lectures - "what's the deal with denominations? Intro" (fitz green); "what's the deal with denominations? - victory church" (aj moseley)-; "what's the deal with denominations? - trinity presbyterian church" (chris colquitt); "what's the deal with denominations? - portico" (jason conner); "what's the deal with denominations? - st.
