University medical education associates is an educational not-for-profit corporation established in 1971. The primary purpose of umea is to receive funds to be disbursed to and for the benefit of the college of medicine at the university of vermont. Funds are expended to assist the college of medicine in supplementing the intern-resident programs, research and education programs to insure that top quality efforts are able to continue and flourish.
