The university's goal is to produce graduates who are excellent in their field of study, vibrant in their faith, and capable of using their influence in effective ways to change the world. Students have intentional opportunities and examples of how to use their knowlege andtalents to effect change. Students learn and practice leadership through more than 170 events per year, 12 honor societies, 13 academic clubs, intramural sports and intercollegiate teams in 21 sports.

The university provided opportunities for students to interact with the economic, cultural, political and human services sectors of the local and/or international community and encouraged develpment of a personal commitment to community services in the appropriate region. The university hosted a summer youth camp for over 2,800 youth and counselors stressing personal growth and community service.

The university furnishes a spirit shop from which students are able to purchase books and supplies necessary for their studies. The university provides dining facilities for convenience of faculty, staff and students. The university maintains parking areas for students and staff.
