Our mission is to develop, implement and drive creative communitybased strategies and programs that enhance economic opportunity, builds inclusive and equitable ecosystems, facilitates historic preservation, and ensures a dynamic, impactful framework for sustainable growth and development. We strive to be a lead ecosystem builder that creates wholistic economic impact by investing in people and equitably developing place, increasing the quality of life for birmingham residents in traditionally underserved commercial districts and neighborhoods.

Be bhm business promotions provides a yearlong business accelerator program for african american entrepreneurs that covers key areas of business operations such as financial management, marketing, and capital access.

Taste of 4th avenue jazz festival creates alliances with other entities and organizations to advance the spirit of jazz which is truly a collaborative art form. The taste of the 4th avenue jazz festival gives the citizens of birmingham, al and jefferson county, al an educational outlook of the history and tour of the fourth avenue business district and free admission to the festival.
