Urban Impact is dedicated to prioritizing the reduction of the impact of poverty for families in the Commonwealth. The organization offers a plethora of small business corporate and community opportunities. These opportunities include workforce development with re-entry services digital equity small business assistance DEI workshops and youth services.

WIN Women in recovery support group. W.I.N. Women Inspiring New Beginnings is a transformative support group that meets 4 times per year offering a 12-week structured program designed to help women in recovery rediscover their power regain their confidence and build a future filled with purpose. Whether youre newly sober or further along in your journey our group offers guidance connection and inspiration to help you thrive. Each cohort is built on a foundation of compassion understanding and shared experiences. With the support of our experienced facilitators and the strength of your fellow participants you will walk a path toward a brighter more empowered future. Urban Impact has engaged over 30 women at several phases of their recovery to continue their recovery and offer case management and resource navigation to improve their overall quality of life.
Re-Entry Program Overview: Empowering Returning Women Citizens At Urban Impact we are committed to providing meaningful opportunities for women currently incarcerated or returning to society. Our Re-Entry Program focuses on delivering work readiness and employment placement services. We understand the unique challenges these women face and our program is designed to meet their needs with culturally conscious services that empower them for success. Work Readiness Training: Our comprehensive training partnership with early behind-the-wall interactions is tailored to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge needed to navigate todays job market. From resume building and interview preparation to workplace communication and problem-solving we provide the foundation necessary for women to thrive in their careers. Job Search Strategy: Our program offers valuable job search strategies to maximize your chances of success. Whether its learning how to network effectively use online job boards or approach companies directly we equip you with the skills to make your job search more effective and efficient. Culturally Conscious Support: Recognizing the unique experiences of women from different backgrounds our program integrates culturally responsive services that acknowledge and celebrate their identities. By centering their needs we help to ensure that each woman has the resources support and mentorship needed to overcome obstacles and succeed in their chosen careers. Resume and Cover Letter Enhancement: Our team helps you build on your resume whether your experience is limited or extensive so your resume can stand out and have a cover letter tailored to the specific job youre applying for. We ensure that your experience and skills are presented in the best possible light to attract employers. Career Advancement Focus: Our goal is not just to place women in jobs but to help them build lasting careers. We help program participants create a career strategy whether they are returning to work after a lengthy absence or entering the workforce for the first time. Urban Impacts goal is both personal and professional growth to navigate workplace challenges to ensure continued employment success and upward mobility. Wrap-around supports have included housing assistance access to health care & food security training assistance transportation support and retention incentives. Urban Impact has exceeded their placement and outcome goals by engaging up to 100 women to pre-employment training behind the wall approximately 50 women with customer service training certificates behind-the-wall placing approximately 20 women in employment and providing support services for them to retain their jobs or scale up to a new opportunity and training.
