Usa Club Rugby Association

In the tax year, usa club rugby also funded and produced its 7s national tournament. 7s nationals features the top 32 rugby teams playing 7-a-side rugby (16 men's teams and 16 women's teams) as determined through a series of tournaments organized by usa club rugby's member unions, and the individual rugby clubs that form those unions. Usa club rugby is solely responsible for funding the 7s national tournament. Significant expense categories included: referee expenses (travel, lodging, and match fees), streaming video production, medical staff, trophies, and administrative travel expense. Revenues were generated through apparel sales, concessions, and video licensing fees.

For the 2024-25 competitive cycle (which ran from sept. 1, 2024 to aug. 31, 2025), usa rugby increased player registration fees by 10/registration. Usa club rugby elected to subsidize half of that registration fee increase (5/player). This subsidy was paid directly to usa rugby by usa club rugby.
