The utah education association's mission is to advance the cause of public education in partnership with others; strengthen the teaching profession; promote quality schools for utah's children; and advocate the well-being of its members.

In fiscal year 2023-2024 uea has worked diligently to convert our members to an alternative method of paying dues called auto-pay. The purpose is to phase out the payment of dues by payroll deduction at the school district level. It is our goal to have 100% of our members on "auto pay" by the end of fiscal year 2025-2026. When we have met our goal it will mean that all dues are paid by eft or recurring credit card transactions.
