Ufbf's farm bureau news program includes two publications (a monthly newspaper and a quarterly magazine) dealing with timely and relevant agricultural and consumer oriented topics. The publications are designed to inform members and interested third parties of the policies and issues acted upon as well as the member services offered by ufbf.
Ufbf's farm and ranch safety training and education programs are designed to assist farm and ranch operations in developing safer work environments and in minimizing or eliminating workplace accidents. Education provided includes materials and customized training related to lockout tag out procedures; substance abuse; cell phone use in conjunction with operation of equipment and vehicles; forklift safety; compliance with osha and the fair labor standards act; proper use of pesticides, fertilizers, and chemicals; seasonal worker safety rules; and other safety related topics. Employers and employees are also informed about workplace safety resources available through the state of utah labor commission.
