Utah Geographic Information Council

The Utah Geographic Information Council has successfully organized a conference for over 200 geospatial professionals throughout Utah. As part of the annual conference GIS training is offered local user groups organize and collaborate and data standards are discussed an implemented. UGIC supported the national GIS day which focuses on educating the public of the benefits of GIS which focuses on educating the public of the benefits of GIS and attempts to inspire the youth to pursue a GIS career. UGIC created a new web portal to gis.utah.gov in collaboration with the State of Utah and this website facilitates the exchange of information across the public private and government sectors of geospatial technology.
