Mission
To promote the highest standard of eye care through education, legislation and adherence to an established code of ethics. The society shall provide its members opportunities for maintaining and upgrading their ophthalmic knowledge through regular continuing education meetings offered to members and non-members in utah and the contiguous states.

The society provides educational meetings during the year for member physicians. The largest of these is the winter meeting held in january - february. The society is accredited by the utah medical association to provide continuing medical education for eyecare physicians.
