UPA conducts an Annual Meeting along the Wasatch Front. The Annual Meeting is a meeting of members and non-members. At the meeting, participants are able to engage with each other concerning the oil and gas industry and to interact with exhibitors, who represent all parts of the industry. In addition to creating an informal atmosphere for collaboration, the Annual Meeting has speakers to whom participants may listen concerning relevant topics to the industry. Speakers normally include experts in the field, as well as, government leaders and rule-makers whose decisions have an impact on the oil and gas industry.

UPA Organizes special projects for the benefit of our members to help members cost share consulting or legal expertise, for example to address issues affecting multiple industry members ranging from operational rules and regulations to air quality and water issues. We also use special projects to organize efforts to support our members jontly funding community support initiatives, such as annual tribal holiday voucher where UPA partners with the Ute Tribe to provide each tribal family with financial vouchers that can be used during the holiday season.
