Program: Soul Vey-Black History & Women History Month Shabbat -on 3/1 Value Culture presented a cultural-education program at JCCSF advancing arts/culture education and cross-community understanding between Black and Jewish communities. Activities included a shared tasting/meal by Chef Vee (Smoke Soul) DJ music by DJ Beatific, traditional dancing, brief historical/context presentations on Black and Jewish traditions and womens leadership, poetry readings and a Shabbat ritual (blessings, candle lighting, chal 80 participants (capacity). The program garnered press and supported intergenerational learning and relationship-building through food music and facilitated cultural exchange.
Program:A New Day Dawning:Indigenous Peoples Month Celebration -11/10 Value Culture presented a free, all ages public cultural program for Indigenous People Heritage Month at Golden Gate Park Music Concourse Activities included live music, dance, storytelling, and educational presentations by Indigenous artists, elders, and culture-bearers. Advanced our exempt purpose of arts/culture education and community engagement by promoting cultural understanding and intergenerational learning. Estimated attendance between 1,000-2000. Partners:Illuminate the Arts(nonprofit)&San Francisco Recreation Parks
