Venice Pride Community Engagement: In 2024 Venice Pride continued hosting its monthly queer dance party Gaywatch at Baja Cantina-an event that regularly draws over 300 LGBTQ+ community members to celebrate dance and connect. During the summer months Venice Pride also launched a pop-up event series at the historic gay bar space S.S. Friendship in Santa Monica Canyon reviving a beloved piece of local LGBTQ+ history and expanding opportunities for community engagement and visibility.
Venice Pride Historical Preservation: Following a successful legal settlement in 2023 resolving a breach of its Roosterfish licensing agreement Venice Pride in 2024 completed the sale of the Roosterfish trademark concluding a multiyear effort to protect and preserve this historic LGBTQ+ community space.
