The organization's mission is to preserve archaeological sites and collections, to curate the collections locally, and to make them available for research and education.

The Center provided Public Education Experiences during the year, including 7 lectures, 4 workshops, 3 guided hikes and 5 special events and participated in 2 research projects and produced 1 virtual educational presentation. Additional educational opportunities are provided in the museum store and the archaeological focused library, a participant in the Yavapai County library system.
The Center hosts Native Americans for the purpose of demonstrations and provides guided excursions to archaeological sites and active indigenous communities.
