Harm reduction services- vermont cares provides an array of harm reduction services through both site-based and mobile service models which include safe syringe access, syringe disposal, overdose prevention, wound care prevention, low barrier access to substance use treatment, case management, and other basic life needs support. Through our statewide mobile program we are reaching vermonters in underserved rural parts of the state where public transportation is a barrier to access. We also provide education on harm reduction and overdose prevention to community-based organizations, medical providers, ems providers, schools and more.
