Green up vermont's mission is to promote the stewardship of our state's landscape and waterways and the livability of our communities by involving people in green up day and raising public awareness about the benefits of a litter-free environment.
Programs

Student poster and writing contests - promotes environmental awareness to students grades k-12. Open to all students. One overall winner and three category winners were awarded in the poster contest. The overall winning poster design became the official green up day 2023 poster for promoting the event. One student was seleted as the 2023 writing contest winner. A 3rd/4th grade class from reading was awarded prizes for their video submission and a home-school group of students from ryegate won the jingle contest.
