To support medical research and education programs for veterans in new jersey.

Biomedical Research. In 2024, VBRI's biomedical research program supported projects in the areas of diabetes and hypertension, gulf war illness, mental illness and behavioral health, neurological disorders including multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer's disease, and traumatic brain injury. Research projects were funded by grants from the National Institutes of Health, Department of Defense, and New Jersey Commission for Brain Injury Research.
Education. In 2024, VBRI continued its colon, lung and skin cancer screening education program for Veterans, family members, caregivers and healthcare providers with educational events held engaging over 750 participants. In addition, VBRI supported educational activity that included training for Veterans, family members, caregivers and healthcare providers in a variety of military deployment related health concerns.
