Veterans Of Foreign Wars Department Of West Virginia

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES AND ASSISTANCE FOR VETERANS: This organization reported 3,309 volunteer hours to the state of West Virginia for the 12 month period ending June 30, 2024. These hours included the following activities: Honor Guard for Funerals, Driving Veterans to doctor appointments, 3 community picnics (at no charge) where games were provided. At these picnics there were water slides, plenty of food, and 10 bicycles were given away.

Donations to the Community: Awards and Scholarships are provided for junior high and high school students. Donations are also provided to award winners for police officers, fire fighters, EMT, and school teachers. The first Sunday in May is when a loyalty day dinner occurs. This dinner is where many of these awards are presented.
