Provide assistance to veterans of foreign wars, their spouses, and their children. Also provide scholarships to qualified students.

Voice of democracyvoice of democracy is a scholarship provided to students who qualify. Students submit an audio-essay that is democratic and patriotic themed. The voice of democracy program is offered to students in grades 9-12.

Patriot penan essay contest that encourages young minds to examine america's history in a 300-400 word essays, expressing their views based on a patriotic theme chosen by the vfw commander-in-cheif. This program is offered to students in grades 6-8.

Other assistance provided to veterans and their families.
