Promoting the health and welfare of veterans by providing a place in which to maintain contact with other veterans and participate in veteran related social events, as well as preparing newsletters and other materials to keep veterans of foreign wars in contact with each other. Also, the vfw honors the memory of deceased veterans by performing ceremonies at funerals of veterans.
