The big jam: the largest event for the season, the big jam continued with the second season at capital one hall. This performance was the result of applying for and being accepted as one of the 30 non-profit performing arts groups in fairfax county to be able to perform at this prestigious theater in the tysons area. This 1500 seat auditorium is outfitted for professional touring groups and partnered with artsfairfax to allow a select number of non-profits to perform at a discounted rate. In addition to performing the big jam at capital one hall, the jammers also featured dj enferno as the guest artist for the big jam. Dj enferno's main credits include being the tour dj for madonna on her vogue tour, as well as running his own dj school in nearby herndon, va. The performance was successful, with over 850 tickets sold, and jammers tech/advanced tech students were able to work alongside professional counterparts.
Public performances: during the season, the jammers performed several pro bono performances for the general public. Highlights included performing at the halloween parade on the back of a flatbed trailer for over 10,000 local community members. Jammers red and black also traveled to washington d.c. To perform at union stage on the wharf to a sold-out audience, which resulted in an invite back to perform next year. Jammers steel and advanced steel performed for the town of vienna's volunteer reception hosted by the mayor. All groups finished off their public performance by performing at viva vienna on memorial day to an estimated audience of 300.
