The objectives of the virginia academy of physician assistants (vapa) are to enhance the quality of medical care available to the public, provide continuing education to physician assistants, represent its members and profession before the commonwealth board of medicine and department of health professions, and promote the physician assistant profession in and throughout the commonwealth of virginia.
