VAISEF Outcomes Data Project tracks member school success rates through the annual collection and reporting of outcome data. Entrance and exit data is collected by each member school and then reported as both individually, per each private day and residential special education member school, and aggregated data. Data collected is analyzed to identify trends in service provision and document continued and increasing service needs.
VAISEF conducted accreditation reviews of private special education programs regulated by the Virginia Department of Education that provide educational programs and related services to students who need individualized education plans and/or address other conditions which may cause students to be at risk in traditional school settings. This VAISEF function is carried out by the Associations Accreditation Committee, which has the responsibility of ensuring that each accredited VAISEF facility is providing a level of excellence in their programs and services.
