Virginia Congress Of Parents And Teachers

The organization's primary exempt purpose is to promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, and community. This includes raising the standards of home life; securing adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth; bringing into closer relation the home and the school; and strengthening the bonds betwen educators and the general public to secure the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education. This is accomplished through educational, outreach, and morale programs as well as providing teachers with classroom supplies, equipment, and training as necessary.
