To assist rural virginians in developing and advancing their agricultural, economic and social interests.to facilitate and coordinate technical and financial assistance to rural virginians in order to provide traditional and innovative solutions that:a) develop agricultural opportunities using existing production and market resources and risk management techniques;b) develop value added and high value agricultural products and improved market opportunities;c) address challenges facing farmers' production and marketing resources; andd) address issues affecting the sustainability of rural virginia.
