Field programs - in 2021, Bramble Hill, a 30 acre birding preserve on the Virginia/West Virginia state line was donated to VSO. VSO began managing the habitat to encourage the study of birds-it is available to the public VSO holds field trips led by experienced guides to stimulate interest in birds throughout the state, conducts a Kestrel project, and provides awards and scholarships to ornithology students.
