The Organization's mission is to conduct scientific research for the purpose of furthering the understanding of diseases of the retina and macula, to sponsor education programs related to the management, diagnosis, treatment and basic understanding of diseases of the retina and macula, and to provide financial resources for the treatment of diseases of the retina and macula for patients who could not otherwise afford to pay for such treatment.
