Viva provides a long term care facility for cats whose owners have died or can no longer care for their pets. Viva assumes all responsibility for the care of the cats including food, litter & medical care.
Viva established the feral cat sanctuary in 2000. Feral cats are caught, neutered and released. If the feral cats cannot be released to a colony due to unsafe conditions, lack of feed or the colony has diminished, the cats are housed at the sanctuary where they will be safe and cared for.
