Vulvar Pain Foundation

The vp foundation's primary exempt purpose is to reach people who suffer from a connective tissue syndrome that includes genital (vulvar) pain, interstitial cyctitis, fibromyalgia, and irritable bowel; and to help them get out of pain safely through scientific research. To acomplish its purpose, the vp foundation sponsors research and produces educational resources on treatments and recovery. The primary resources are twice-yearly issues of the vp foundation newsletter, updated editions of the low oxalate cookbook, and a popular web site (www.thevpfoundation.org). The vp foundation also coordinates a network of support for its members. It is manned by volunteers who recovered from long-standing pain through a large research study (3,700 participants) sponsored by the vp foundation (1992-2007).
