WAVE, standing for Wellness, Advocacy, Visibility, and Empowerment, is a charitable organization dedicated to supporting black and brown transgender women in upstate New York. Focusing on healthcare, legal rights, and societal acceptance, WAVE aims to enhance the well-being and dignity of this marginalized community. Through wellness programs, advocacy for equal rights, efforts to increase visibility, and initiatives to empower individuals personally and professionally, WAVE seeks to create a more inclusive and supportive environment. Funded by donations and volunteer support, WAVE's mission is to uplift the voices and lives of black and brown transgender women, fostering a future where they can thrive.
