Walnut Grove Community Church

Worship is our principal activity. The church comes together each sunday at 11am, there are greetings, music, and hymns, prayer and praise; responses include acts of commitment and faith with offerings of concerns, prayers and collection of gifts. The church meets at other times for special occasions such as an annual revival meeting, baptisms, weddings, and funerals. These services are led by the pastor supported by volunteers. Funds collected during worship pay most of the expenses of the church. The pastor is the only paid employee of the church. Attendance at the sunday services is about 35.

Christian education is vital to helping church members develop bible literacy and achieve the gifts and abilities to grow into the image of christ. Each sunday about 10am basic bible study classes are offered to all; on average about 15 members attend this sunday school. Weekly on wednesday evening about 7pm church members join with members of other local churches for bible study. Vacation bible school is a summer church outreach focused on giving kids a fun and creative time to learn about the bible, to build relationships with children in the surrounding community and to create evangelism opportunities. About 20 children and workers participated.
