Walpole Historical Society

The Walpole Historical Society is housed in the 1831 Walpole Academy which it purchased in the mid-1950s. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Walpole Historical society engages in on-going efforts to maintain and preserve the structure and presents educational programs to further the understanding of the historic development of the town and to further the appreciation of the built landscape to the heritage of New England.
