- wamego hospital association (wha) develops programs and activities that improve access to health care and improves health in the community of wamego, kansas. As a part of ascension via christi health, a catholic health system, we share the mission of "rooted in the loving ministry of jesus as healer, we commit ourselves to serving all persons with special attention to those who are poor and vulnerable. Wha is dedicated to spiritually centered, holistic care which sustains and improves the health of individuals and communities. We are advocates for a compassionate and just society through our actions and our words." the obligation to reach out to those in need and improve community health flows directly from our identity as a faith-based healing ministry.
