Washington Engine Co No 1 - Matawan

Washington Engine Company No 1 mission is to protect and serve the people of the borough of Matawan due to fire, flood any type of natural or unnatural disaster or acts of terrorism within our boundaries. Also to lend mutual aid to neighboring towns for the same type of protection. We do community service to help the town and the police department and any other First Responders, with township events, fundraising and any other actions we are called upon for. Washington Engine Co. No 1 is the oldest fire department in Monmouth County.
