Mission
Promotion of the development of fair taxation and regulation on the federal, state, and local government levels so that tree farming can continue through generations as a viable and attractive way of life. A second purpose is to promote educational programs to improve forest stewardship and to increase public awareness of the importance of family tree farms.
Programs
1 program
Local farm forestry chapters sponsor educational meetings and tours of local tree farms to share the most effective tree farming techniques. Wffa also works with the department of natural resources and other state and federal agencies to provide training on how to comply with forest practices rules and regulations. Members also receive a free copy of northwest woodlands magazine, other publications of interest to small woodland owners and a copy of the association's monthly newsletter with information to help members stay current on issues affecting them and their land.
