Washington Figure Skating Club Inc

The club hosted three skating competitions (the New Years Invitational, the Picken Dance Classic, and the Potomac Open)

The WFSC has consistently awarded supporting grants to advanced skaters to help with expenses to qualifying level competitions. Through the Capitol Skating Fund and the main income revenue, the grant awards have become a major program service with support to skaters and organizations and programs throughout the Washington DC area.

Ice skating sessions for ice dancers and freestyle skaters of all levels. Members and basic skills skaters are invited to participate in skating sessions at local rinks for a subsidized cost. Professional coaches are available to assist in learning techniques and skills. These sessions are held year-round and are specifically designed to offer low rates and more favorable conditions (quality ice) to skaters. For example, ice dancing and pairs skating is not compatible with other types of freeskating and sessions such as this offer a safer less crowded venue.

WSFC received dues from its members which support all of its programs.
