Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network

Communicationsour digital efforts made a significant difference by expanding waisn's reach and mobilizing supporters. Through engaging posts, calls to action, and educational content on facebook and instagram, we informed the public, activated community participation, and raised awareness about immigrant rights. This led to more people taking action in campaigns, petitions, and virtual events.in 2024, we worked towards this vision by integrating language justice values into our membership structure, staffing, organizing strategy, budgeting, and day-to-day operations. Our membership offers access to interpretation equipment free of cost and a variety of language justice training catered to each organization's specific needs.

Policy and advocacyat waisn, our policy & advocacy work is centered on our mission of supporting and building the rights anddignity of immigrants and refugees in washington. In 2024 we secured funding for vital programs that willexpand healthcare access, we provided life-saving support for newly arriving migrants, and moved forward ourgoal of providing wage replacement for all workers in washington.

Resources and partnerships: resources and partnerships at waisn is a community-driven team that integrates mutual aid projects with deportation defense support. The team manages an online resource finder of curated resources for immigrants that lists 1,200 resources in 39 counties. The team is a hub for our network of over 400 organizations. We also support the mutual aid care package project for newly arrived migrants, which delivered $7,450 in gift cards, 65 care packages, and 150 flyers connecting communities to our hotline.
