Washington Music Educators Association

The music matters license plate project, a program created by music aid northwest and administered by wmea was passed by the washington state legislature in 2012. A portion of the license fees are set aside to augment school music program funds to enable the purchase equipment, supplies, and repairs beyond their normal budgeted expenses through grants that are administered by the organization.

Voice magazine published quarterly and sent to state music educators and other subscribers (members); publish poco voce - sent to state music educators annually. Programs published annually for conferences, honor group concerts, and state solo and ensemble contest, wmea, all-state, and nafme all-northwest honor groups.
