Programs
2 programs
Fire apparatus fleet includes an Engine a Tanker an Attack Quick Response vehicle and a Brush truck. All apparatus are equipped with Compressed Air Foam Systems that allow the extension of water usage three-fold. This system is imperative for our rural county without fire hydrants. Our firefighting includes wildland due to the rural woodland nature of the county. Firefighters who are all volunteer are dual trained in Wildland and Structural Firefighting. In 2024 we responded to 122 fire calls.
Community service includes all day summer Fire Camp for primary secondary age children as well as show-and-tell event at the Firehouse for the County Kindergarten classes. Other activities included participation in the County Schools "Panther Pride Day" Easter Egg Hunt for the area children and Breakfast with Santa. Other Community Outreach programs included an Open House and Easter Breakfast.
