This item is for training over and above what the Sheriffs office can provide with their publicly funded budget. The expenditures focus on specialized training areas to enhance the performance of the Department.

This line item is for staff appreciation gestures for the Department. It includes flowers and plaques for retirements to Departmentwide functions to show appreciation throughout the year; for example employee Easter and Christmas dinner in the commissary. This covers expenses not normally allowed in a publicly funded agency.
